So it's actually been a while since I finished my internship in Hong Kong. I have made it back in one piece, although slightly heavier than when I departed. Hehehe...there was just way too much good food in Hong Kong for me to not try! So much that I've had to split my fooding into another two posts, otherwise it would just be mega long.

gin long canteen.
First of all, a very belated happy new year to everyone! Secondly, very very sorry for the lack of blogging over the last few weeks. Exams and a short-term mission trip to the Philippines took up most of my time, and I'm leaving for Hong Kong in a few days! But no fear, there will be delicious updates now and again from the city that never sleeps.
On to Gin Long! After seeing its constant presence on Urbanspoon's hit list, it was hard for me not to come and see what all the fuss was about. Funky and fusion were the first two words that came to mind - the interior is not your standard Asian round table and table cloth fare, and it has that new-to-town buzz.

pho minh.
I'm not a massive fan of pho, but I do appreciate it once in a while. There's nothing like a bowl of noodles with all parts of a cow (forgive the crude expression) soaked in a delicious beef soup. It's generally pretty healthy, especially if you add in the bean sprout and basil leaves, and isn't heavy on the stomach.
My grandma was actually the one took me to Pho Minh for the first time a few years ago, and ever since I've never had a better bowl of pho anywhere else.
