Who loves green tea? I do! So when Matcha House finally opened up its doors on O'Connell Street, it didn't take long for my friends and I to hurry down and see what it was all about.  The story is that the owner, Deb, travelled to Japan a few years ago specifically for taste-testing different kinds of green tea and brought back her favourites to put on the menu.  You can see the effort put behind her choices as soon as you look at the menu (half the menu is dedicated to just tea alone) but I, as usual, was more curious about the food!

First of all, a very belated happy new year to everyone! Secondly, very very sorry for the lack of blogging over the last few weeks.  Exams and a short-term mission trip to the Philippines took up most of my time, and I'm leaving for Hong Kong in a few days! But no fear, there will be delicious updates now and again from the city that never sleeps.

On to Gin Long! After seeing its constant presence on Urbanspoon's hit list, it was hard for me not to come and see what all the fuss was about.  Funky and fusion were the first two words that came to mind - the interior is not your standard Asian round table and table cloth fare, and it has that new-to-town buzz.

When a few friends from overseas came to visit, I was given the the task of finding somewhere to lunch.  Having perused over Cucina's menu over extensively during my procrastinations, I knew this was the place I wanted to try out.

Opting for an inside seat, we had a pleasant view of the restaurant's gorgeous antique decor.  There was also a nice breeze coming in through their open doors which meant we could enjoy the lovely weather outside without the traffic whizzing by.

Adelaide seems to have gone through a burger craze over the past year and from what I have read and heard, Burgastronomy is one of the best burger places around town.  Two friends and I decided to try it out one Saturday afternoon, and we were definitely not disappointed.  I ordered the Signature burger and a side of the sweet potato fries.  My friends ordered the Trucker burger and the Free Bird burger with sweet potato fries and potato fries respectively.
