ur caffe.

Hello scrumptious.  Where have you been all my life?  A morning appointment in the North Adelaide region brought me to UR Caffe (prounounced 'your cafe') for the first time and I absolutely loved it.  They serve a variety of breakfast and lunch options as well as coffees, teas and juices.  Even though it's a small space they've done a great job in opening up the area with plenty of seating options so feel free come here in packs, in pairs or even by yourself.

The first thing you'll notice is the cheery interior and funky decorations just sitting around here and there.  No two tables are alike in terms of shapes and sizes but they are all adorned with flower pots and shrub pots. They also have free Wi-Fi!

Ge Novo: smashed avocado with mint on sourdough toast & poached eggs ($11.90)
I don't often eat mint, but when I do it's going to be with avocado.  The subtle minty flavour was great at balancing out the creaminess of the avocado, especially since there was a lot of avocado.  The poached eggs were not too bad but needed something extra to give it some flavour.  I ended up dipping them in the hollandaise sauce.

Eggs Benedict: lean ham, scrambled eggs, sourdough toast & hollandaise sauce ($13.90)
You can choose poached eggs or scrambled eggs for the Eggs Benedict, and I'm glad I chose the scrambled.  They were so creamy and soft, a bit of a contrast to the poached eggs which were a bit dry.  The hollandaise sauce was the best part - thick, smooth and creamy without being too rich.

Fruit of Eden Tea: $3.50 for one, Macaccino: $4.40
Those who know me know of my dislike for coffee, but the description of the macaccino made it sound too good to pass up.  A creamy cappucino with macadamias blended in? Yes please! And it was so delicious.   And the coffee art! So beautifully done.

The cafe is a bit of a hard find since it's tucked away amongst other places but once you do, you'll be glad you did.  The menu is pretty healthy - they have a range of fresh juices which look equally delicious - and service is excellent.  A bottle of water is complimentary and the slice of orange was a great cleansing finish to the meal.
